This local builder hasn't even been in business 10 years, yet has taken home scores of awards tied to buyers' gratification with service and quality of construction.
More than that, Sabal Homes can accurately state that nine of every 10 customers this year would recommend the company to others.
The Mount Pleasant-based venture won a 2014 Guildmaster Award, which according to the builder goes to "high-caliber companies in the building, remodeling, contracting and real estate professions that consistently demonstrate an ability to deliver a superior customer experience."
Sabal Homes has earned the honor eight consecutive years. It says the distinction "shows the Charleston-area homebuilder consistently delivers exceptional customer service."
GuildQuality Inc., which Sabal Homes describes as an "independent customer-satisfaction surveying firm that serves a nationwide community of homebuilders and remodelers," conducts the judging and presents the awards.
"We strive to provide the best possible customer service and are proud our customers noticed for the eighth year in a row," Sabal Homes co-founder Todd Ussery says.
"We're thrilled and grateful to win this elite, customer-driven award. It reflects our focus on customer satisfaction," he notes.
Ussery, Matt Jones and Jason Simpson own the company, which with its 25 employees have framed more than 600 homes in the Charleston area.
"We value client input above all else; over the years, we've incorporated client feedback into all aspects of our company," Ussery says.
The percentage of customers who would recommend a company is one of the factors that GuildQuality uses in determining winners.
Sabal Homes was one of just 200 homebuilders, remodelers, developers and contractors in North America to achieve a recommendation rate above 90 percent.
"Our customers have overwhelmingly recommended us again in this annual service poll. We're proud to have achieved a customer recommendation rate of greater than 90 percent," he says.
"The Guildmaster with Distinction is an honor that recognizes Sabal Homes' commitment to customer service as among the nation's best in the building industry," Ussery says.
Sabal Homes, founded in 2005, builds dwellings in nine developments across metro Charleston.
"We're all about making the customer happy, so being recognized by GuildQuality for top customer satisfaction is quite the honor," he says.
