Things were really hopping around Carolina Park last Saturday morning, April 12, thanks to a visit from the Easter Bunny at our first annual Community Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt. More than 165 neighbors and friends gathered for the festivities, including 70 very excited young Easter egg hunters!
“This was a great opportunity for our residents to come out, share some time getting to know one another and enjoy an absolutely beautiful morning,” said Alicia Gustafson Carolina Park Community Association Manager. “And to see all the kids so excited to meet the Easter Bunny and hunt for eggs – it was really a lot of fun.”
There were actually two egg hunts – one for kids ages 0-4 and the other for kids 5 and up. In total, more than 1,100 eggs were hidden – and found! On top of that, the Diggity Doughnuts food truck was on hand offering a variety of delicious vegan treats, and Red Robyn Balloons created fabulous balloon animals for the kids.
The gathering wrapped up around 11:00 a.m. and already has everyone looking forward to next spring’s event. Special thanks to volunteers Will Hurley, Debbie Moore, Brennan Gilmore, Kelly and Todd Gray, Michele and Michael Zahn, Danny McKinney, Stephanie Boals and Tara French for making the day a huge success.
