March 31, 2020 Post & Courier - Just in time for spring, Riverside at Carolina Park has announced the addition of two new builders to the community's Custom Builder Team. Charleston-based Axon Homes, along with Raleigh, NC-based Homes by Dickerson, are the newest members of the seven-builder team.
"One of the things that has always set Riverside apart is the tremendous range of choices we provide homebuyers," said Brian Keels, COO of Carolina Park Development. "By adding to our custom builder team, we're giving homebuyers more choices, more plans and more possibilities than ever before."
Widely recognized as one of the region's premier custom and luxury homes communities, Riverside is the only new community in Mount Pleasant where homebuyers can build a custom home from the ground up. With seven builders to choose from, buyers can select their builder and then work with a plan from that builder's portfolio, or create a one-of-a-kind, completely custom home.
"It's one of the things our clients get most excited about," said Haley Cuzzell, Community Sales Manager in Riverside. "A lot of people come in with a pretty good idea of what they want. But once they see all the possibilities and choices our builders bring to the table, they realize their ideas were really just the beginning of what's possible."
But having seven different custom builders isn't the only thing that sets Riverside apart. Set on 545 acres, more than half of which are permanently preserved, Riverside is part of 1,700-acre Carolina Park. That unique combination of exceptional custom homes set in the heart of a master-planned community means residents enjoy an unparalleled collection of amenities.
"We have five top-rated schools and a brand-new public library within walking distance," said Keels. "Combined with our recreational amenities, a full-service hospital, and a growing commercial area anchored by Costco, CVS and others – there's simply nothing else like it in Mount Pleasant."
In the heart of Riverside stands Bolden Park and its 20-acre centerpiece, Bolden Lake. The lake and its expansive boardwalk are encircled by a mile-long trail that has become a favorite of residents and their four-legged best friends. Also, the community has plans underway for a new lakeside pool amenity, as well as direct Wando River access complete with a kayak launch. These features will complement the already-existing Carolina Park Residents Club, which features a pool, tennis courts, outdoor pavilion, playground, dog park and the two-acre Great Lawn.
"Riverside is intended to connect people to one another and nature," said Ms. Cuzzell. "It's evident everywhere you look – including the architecture of the homes, which seamlessly connects indoor and outdoor living areas. Just take a walk through the neighborhood and see for yourself how welcoming it really is."
